Nearly a century ago, the future Mr. and Mrs. Kurtinitis met as pen pals.

From its first inception in 1942 as an upholstery shop, the legacy of Kurtinitis continues to pay homage to the original founders, William and Helen.  They were passionate about their trade, increasing offerings and building their enterprise within the Cincinnati community. By adding design services and retail space to their shop, they became the premiere destination for fine furnishings and design.

After their retirement, their oldest daughter, Marianne Kurtinitis, continued running the business and in 1997 Marianne was joined by JW Fleckenstein.  With a discerning eye for luxury design, visual placement and color, JW excelled within the company and became a partner, who contributed to the growth and expansion of the business. Today, Interiors by Kurtinitis is owned by JW and his wife, Jane Fleckenstein. With JW’s leadership, the showroom is now the largest retail showroom in the tri-state area.
